VisionWorks continues to enhance 5G functionality to empower our customers to roll out and monitor 5G networks with confidence. Significant enhancements to slice assurance, VoNR assurance, data service assurance, and latency segmentation use cases are added in this release. 

VisionWorks 21.3 allows customers to clearly identify and act on service and system errors, monitor OTA test agents, and remotely access the test device UI. These capabilities, along with other enhancements, will help both new and existing customers as they continue to evolve their network as part of their 5G strategy.

 
 
Release 21.3
Key New Features 5G Network Slice Assurance:
New tests and KPIs support eMBB and URLLC slice types. VisionWorks users can now test, monitor, and troubleshoot slice performance as they deploy and manage this important capability.

5G Voice Service Assurance:
To aid customers in troubleshooting voice service from both the core and OTA, this release adds VoNR tests using the Spirent E10 test platform with tethered handsets. KPIs for call success or failure and details on the radio bands being used have been added.

Latency Segmentation:
In addition to end-to-end testing and visibility, VisionWorks now provides latency segmentation for 4G, 5G NSA, and 5G SA networks. Tests performed from core ingress and egress points and over the air help to rapidly isolate and identify the problem domain and greatly increase troubleshooting efficiency.

Dual Homing Analysis:
This feature introduces new KPIs that tie the primary and secondary paths of a dual-homed service together, allowing for advanced analysis based on the status of both paths. This enables the efficient isolation of dual-homed services that are down or single-ended.

Focus on Service Impact:
Identify which test failures are caused by test configuration or connectivity issues before initiating costly truck-rolls. Prioritize actual customer-impacting service delivery issues.

OTA Agent Monitoring:
Receive proactive notifications of status changes and remotely access handsets connected to the Spirent E10 test platform.

Quectel Modem Support:
The Quectel modem is now supported on the Spirent E5 test platform, replacing the Telit modem. This allows the 5G modem solution to be used in the EMEA and APAC regions.
