Wi-Fi 7 is a new generation of Wi-Fi technology coming from the standards bodies during 1Q2024. Wi-Fi 7 improves the previous generations of technology by various refinements that deliver greater throughput and lower latency. Spirent’s 2.6 release with Pal-7 is Spirent’s first release supporting Wi-Fi 7. SW 2.6 builds on previous release of the OCTOBOX system and adds Wi-Fi 7 to the tried and true Wi-Fi test system. While new Wi-Fi 7 features are added, the base of the system with its user interface, APIs and reporting stays the same.

The 2.6 release aims to support: ISPs, their vendors, device manufacturers, enterprise vendors.
