Where are error logs located?


The first place to find error messages is the event log accessed from the GUI on the Run > Monitor tab or from the results tab clicking the 'event log' button.

When troubleshooting it’s best to set the event log to debug mode on the Run > Configure tab to event logs level (0) debug
*Be sure to set this back to (3) warning when done debugging your test run as it can impact performance.

Additional logs can be found in the install directory on the local PC:
C:\Program Files\Spirent Communications\Spirent TestCenter x.xx\Layer 4-7 Application\logs

The event log along with testrun.log and commander.log will help technical support further troubleshoot your issue in the event you need to open a service request.
