Answer

When tests are run using Maximum Transmit Power condition, this can causes clippings in the reverse link signal and results in message errors. Retransmission at protocol level usually corrects them. However, there would be noticeable error messages in AirAccess. In some cases this can even cause dropped calls.

There is a parameter in the mobile that can correct this situation. It is the Reverse Link Attenuation Offset parameter. The typical value would be to set this to -60. For greater details go to paragraph 3.3.1.1 of the PLTS Reference manual.
