Spirent TestCenter & Avalanche: Why won't my Spirent Test center License install onto my Chassis?

  • Spirent TestCenter chassis
  • Avalanche Appliance
  • Avalanche Commander
Answer
  • If you get an error when installing your license - you may have chosen the wrong License for your controller/hardware.
    • If your license file is a XML extension, the file is for the Avalanche hardware.
    • If your license file is a LIC extension, the file is for the Spirent Test Center hardware.
  • After applying the license file (.XML file ) in the Avalanche Commander application, you may need to restart the application.  
  • The license file (.LAC file) is applied in the Spirent TestCenter appliation.  It does not need to be relaunched.
