Why is the interface link not coming up, and no traffic is detected, when I hook up optical interface to a cPacket Traffic Monitoring Switch (cVu 320g, 120g, 7480-70)?
Answer
The speed setting does not match the type of transceiver.
To correct this issue:
Login into the HTTP GUI for the cPacket unit.
The
Overview
window opens.
Check the "Spd" setting of the port. The "Spd" setting should match the speed of the transceiver.
To correct the setting, click
Topology
. On the
Topology
screen, click
Link Speed
button for the port to toggle between the settings.
Click
Save
to preserve the changes when you are finished.
