Where can I download the RTCM 11010.2 scenario set?

The Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services (RTCM) 11010.2 Standard for 406 MHz Satellite Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) describes a set of test scenarios that are available from Spirent Communications for users needing to test to RTCM standard 11010.2.

Please read the attached document for further information about the scenarios.

Once you are logged in to our support website using your login account you can locate them from the "Downloads" area:

  • STR4500 users should select the "Scenario Downloads" category and then "STR4500 Scenarios" for SimPLEX versions of the scenarios
  • GSS6700 users should select the "Scenario Downloads" category and then "GSS6700 Scenarios" for REPLAY versions of the scenarios
  • GSS6700 users with the SimGEN mode of PosApp software, and all other SimGEN capable simulator models, should select the "SimGEN" category for SimGEN versions of the scenarios

If, however, you do not own a simulator with a valid support agreement, since Spirent are committed to providing these scenarios free of charge, please go to the "Utility" category instead.
