How does Avalanche calculate server processing time for each transaction?

Answer

The Estimated Server Response is referred to the server processing time.  Please see the formula and note below.

Minimum/Maximum/Average Estimated Server Response Time (ms) An estimate of the time, in milliseconds, that it takes for the server to respond to a request, from the last byte of the HTTP request to the first byte of the HTTP response. This statistic is derived from the following formula:

TCP time to first byte - 2 X TCP time to SYN/ACK

NOTE: This is an estimate of the time it takes for the server to respond to a request. This formula aims to remove the network time from the equation, in order to produce a time that contains only the server processing time. Doubling the TCP time to SYN/ACK produces the time for two network round-trips. This formula works best when the time for the server to respond to the first SYN request is small.
