Why my 3100 or 3100B ports are using invalid MAC address. How can I change the MAC addresses on the ports?

There is a known issue reported on Avalanche version 3.70 on 3100 (1st generation) and 3100B chassis. The MAC addresses on their ports get assigned with invalid MAC addresses, duplicated MAC address of another port, and/or 00-00-00-00-00-00 MAC. The problem has being fixed on version 3.80.

Workaround for older versions:

Manually edit the port MAC address in Tools | Administration | Appliance | User Administration, MAC address.
