Avalanche: Why does my test abort with a SIGSEGV error in event log?

This is typically caused by one of a few issues.  Please try the following:

  • Confirm the version of software matches between the hardware and the Avalanche Commander GUI
  • Try dropping the load to about 25%-50% of current level - if this addresses issue, the equipment was being overloaded  [For more information see FAQ11793]
  • There may be a configuration error - please review the event log for indications of what may be causing SIGSEGV
  • Rarely an unexpected packet may result in a test abort/segfault, if you suspect this is the issue please contact support
