What SFP & SFP+ Modules are supported on the Spirent Studio 80x0 appliances (i.e. formerly known as Mu Studio 80x0 appliances)?

Answer

The Spirent Studio 8000 or Spirent Studio 8010 appliance (i.e. formerly known as Mu 8000 & Mu 8010 respectively) only supports the following SFP or SFP+ modules:
 
.i) Spirent 8000 (SFP):
 

  • 1G = Finisar FTLF8519P2BNL

 
.ii) Spirent 8010 (SFP & SFP+):

  • 1G same as Spirent 8000 = Finisar FTLF8519P2BNL
  • 10G: Intel FTLX8571D3BCV-IT

 
Please make sure you are using ONLY these SFP/SFP+ modules on the Mu appliance as other brands will NOT work properly with the Spirent 80x0 appliance.
 
If you have a non-support SFP/SFP+ Module, please remove and insert the noted support SFP/SFP+ model and reboot the Spirent appliance (UI>Admin tab>Reboot appliance or Press the Power ON/OFF button once).
