Spirent TestCenter: What is the Ambient Operating temperature range for the Spirent TestCenter chassis?

Answer

SPT-2000A, SPT-2000A-HS, and SPT-2U Chassis

Operating Temperature is 59–95° F (15–35° C)

Note: that the temperature must be kept below 86° F (30° C) if the SPT-2000A chassis contains two UniPHY POS single-port modules (UPY-2001A). In addition, when two, fully populated MSA-1001A/
B or MSA-2001A/B test modules, or any combination of both test modules, are installed in the SPT-2000A chassis, the module that is installed in Slot 2 (the lower slot) may initiate the temperature warning and subsequent test module and chassis shutdown process. This will only happen when the fully populated chassis is installed into a facility that has an average ambient air temperature of 86º F (30º C) or above, and the chassis has both test modules installed, and the equipment is running for extended periods (greater than 8 hours).

Ambient air temperature is the air a populated SPT-2000A chassis is cycling that is at 86º F (30º C)
F or above and the air is the actual air that the chassis draws into its cooling system for extended periods.

SPT-3U Chassis

Operating Temperature is 59–95° F (15–35° C).

SPT-5000A Chassis

Operating Temperature is 59–95° F (15–35° C)

SPT-9000A Chassis

Operating Temperature is 59–95° F (15–35° C)

Note: The temperature must be kept below 86º F (30º C) if the SPT-9000A chassis contains CV-10G-S2 or CV-10G-S8 modules.

SPT-11U Chassis

Operating Temperature is 59–95° F (15–35° C)

Note: The temperature must be kept below 86º F (30º C) if the SPT-11U chassis contains MX-10G-S8, CV-10G-S2, or CV-10G-S8 modules.
