Spirent TestCenter /Result Reporter application fails with error “Shell has stopped Working” when try to open the configuration or DB file using Window 7 Enterprise edition?



Detail Description:
1.       Test Center Application Fails with the message “Spirent TestCenter Shell has stopped working”
a.       After opening a configuration and try to click or change the configuration
b.      When try to open an existing configuration
2.       When try to load the Spirent TestCenter package using API “Spirent TestCenter Shell has stopped working”
3.       When try to open a Database file using Result Reporter
Note: Based on the Spirent TestCenter (Latest 4.03) Spirent TestCenter Does not support Windows 7 Enterprise Edition
Workaround:   Please try the following with your own risk
Please check the following Registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
All the folders should be using the “%USERPROFILE%\” path as shown in the screen capture below and should not use any absolute path (specially pointing Network drive or the path that no longer exist)
If there any path then please change the path with ““%USERPROFILE%\”
