There is a test parameter namely "AT Access CH SMS Supported" for test case 1.3, 2.3, 3.3, it has two values "Yes" and "No". Please set this parameter according to your device ability.
For example:
Before run these tests, you can send a short message from UE to network under 1x mode:
If UE sends short message on R-ACH (reverse Access Channel) as below, then we should configure "AT Access CH SMS Supported" test case parameter to "Yes".
If UE sends short message on R-FCH (reverse Traffic Channel) as below, then we should configure "AT Access CH SMS Supported" test case parameter to "No".
Note:
Some device is able to send SMS on Access Channel.
Some device setup a data link before sending the SMS, thus the SMS is sent on traffic channel.
This is purely depending on UE implementation.
