Why TDII shows error "FAILED - Wireless Channel Emulator Configuration. Value out of range" at the beginning of the test?

Answer

When SR5500 and TCU SR5078 is used, you may see following error at the beginning of the test:

And move mouse onto the error, it displays:

Then the most possible reason is SR5500 front panel cabling is wrong.

Currently there are two kinds of SR5500 cabling for TDII system. They differ in the front panel cabling, and the rear panel cabling is the same.

  • Below is front panel cabling for all the 1x SC tests:

  • Below is front panel cabling for all the Data Performance tests, along with EVDO SC tests:

Two cables-C15A and C3A are different. Thus if you encounter this error, please double check these two cable connections.

See FAQ12131 for map between test packs and above two kinds of system cabling.

Note:

If TCU 8078 is used, then all the TDII tests use same cabling, thus we don't need re-cable between tests, this is an advantage of TCU 8078 compared with 5078.
