Spirent TestCenter: After upgrading to Spirent TestCenter 4.20 or 4.22, I'm getting 'unable to map region', "Permission denied" & other errors in console window when logged into a SPT-2U, SPT-9U, SPT-3U and SPT-11U chassis

Answer

 

  • After logging into a Spirent chassis with telnet, you may see extraneous messages after typing a command.  For example, checking for the serial number or changing the IP address will give a string of extraneous messages (highlighted in yellow), followed by the correct output.
  • These messages are false and not really indicating a problem, and will be suppressed in an upcoming build.

  • This issue has been fixed at 4.30.
