In iTest, how to set up an external test report database server for your entire team?

Environment/Versions

iTest version: 4.2.2
OS: Windows, Linux

Answer

In Spirent iTest’s install directory, in the plugins/com.fnfr.svt.editions.team_<version>.<build#> folder, add the following lines to the plugin_customization.ini file (Use the server, credentials, and catalog name appropriate for your database) to customize the default preferences for all users.

com.fnfr.svt.execution/trExtDbServerPort=0
com.fnfr.svt.execution/trExtDbType=MySQL
com.fnfr.svt.execution/trExtDbServerPassword=
com.fnfr.svt.execution/trExtDbServerCatalog=report2
com.fnfr.svt.execution/trExtDbServerAddr=ecdbreport3
com.fnfr.svt.execution/trExtDbServerUser=root
com.fnfr.svt.execution/trUseLocalDb=true

Note: If the "trUseLocalDb"="false" then the "Use an external database to store test reports" will not be checked by default when a user open iTest.
