Positioning Application: Is it possible to enable the velocity profiles on the 4500 / 6560 / 5060 single channel utility?

Environment/Versions
  • PosApp (SimGEN / SimREPLAYplus / SimREPLAY)
  • Using the Single Channel Utility available from PosApp menu [Tools-->4500/6560/5060/4150 Utilities]
  • Using one of the following simulators
    • STR4500
    • GSS5060
    • GSS6560
Answer
  • No - this is not possible
  • But you can create the same velocity profile effects using PosApp's Pseudorange Ramp feature.

  • Refer to the GSS4100 user manual, DGP00673AAA, for a summary of the velocity profiles
     

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • FAQ13972 explains that SimCHAN is the basis for this Single Channel Utility
  • The velocity profiles were a feature available for use with the GSS4100, not the STR4500 / GSS6560 / GSS5060.
  • The GUI therefore shows the feature greyed out when SimCHAN was modified for use as the Single Channel Utility with these simulator models.
  • For that reason you cannot re-enable it.
