• iTest

When we try to open the test case we face this error because of the extra characters at the end of the xml content of the Test case.

We can resolve this by following the below steps:

• Right click on the test case in the iTest Explorer view.
• Select Open with > Text Editor.
  
• Delete the extra characters and click on save.
  
• Now open the Test case with Test case Editor, it should open.
  

Note: We may also face similar kinds of xml errors depending on the location of extra characters or missing characters.
For example, "The document contains XML errors: Content is not allowed in prolog" - if extra characters are at the beginning of the xml content.
