Spirent TestCenter: How to copy hex stream from vendor specific DHCP option from a packet capture to custom DHCP options on Spirent TestCenter?

Answer
  • Copy the vendor specific hex stream from the packet capture as shown below.

 

  • On the STC GUI, navigate to Devices > DHCP / DHCP server > Edit Custom Options. Enable the 'String is hexadecimal' option.

 

  • Paste the hex stream in the option payload as shown below.

 

  • Apply and start device.

Note: This is applicable for both DHCPv4 and DHCPv6.
