Environment/Versions GSS6400 Answer The maximum filename length is 29 characters, including the file extension Files with longer names can cause issues with playback (see article KNI12111)   However, note that long filenames are not fully displayed via the front panel display The display has a limited character length and so the last section of the file is not shown As such different files with similar names can be indistinguishable from the front panel display This encourages use of short filenames for ease of file management
