Spirent TestCenter: How to create a OSPFv3 NSSA LSAs with “Forwarding bit” (F bit) on NSSA external LSAs?

Answer

We have to put the forwarding address in the NSSA LSAs and check in the capture to see F-Bit value. pleae refer below steps:-

  • Configure OSPFv3 using Wizards --> Routing and MPLS --> OSPFV3 --> LSA Generator --> follow default settings
  • Click All Devices --> Device --> OSPFV3 tab --> Click on Edit LSA --> Select NSSA LSAs --> Put the Forwarding address.

  •  Capture shows Forwarding address (F-Bit) is included:-
