Landslide: MME Nodal - Which Cell ID values should be set when Macro Type is selected as eNodeB ID?

Environment/Versions
  • Landslide
  • MME Nodal
    • Inter/Intra MME mobility
Answer

Macro type uses only the 20 MSB of the Cell ID. That means, the granularity between two unique Cell IDs is 256. For example, If the Test case is configured with 10 Source eNodeBs, the gap between both starting Cell ID (Network Devices>eNodeB Control Node) should be at least 2560 in order to avoid ID overlaps.
