GSS6700: Galileo E1 power level measurement is does not match the total displayed on the power level graph.

Answer

The full E1 Galileo signal consists of 3 components:

  • E1-A
    • PRS Channel (Restricted Users Only)
  • E1-B
    • OS (Open Service) Data channel
  • E1-C
    • OS Pilot Channel

The GSS6700 simulator is only capable of generating the OS signals. By default the Galileo constellation file has all 3 code components enabled:

So the power level graph shows the expected power level including the E1-A PRS signal.

Users should un tick the E1-A box above then the power level displayed window will be accurate:
