SR5500: How to configure Default FTP Setup in IIS for on non-Spirent PC?

Answer

In case standard spirent configured PC is not available, use below settings to use SR5500 TestKit to connect to the SR5500 on Non-Spirent PC

Install IIS service from control panel - > Programs -> Turn Windows Feature on and off

  • Check below options and make sure World Wide Web Services is unchecked
  • Reboot PC.

  • After reboot PC, navigate to control panel -> Administrative Tools-> Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager:
  • Open sites, add Defalut FTP Site with the following properties:
Parameters Setting
FTP Authentication Anonymous -Enabled, Basic - Enabled
FTP Authentication Rules Anonymous -Allow Read, Write
FTP Physical Path C:\Inetpub\ftproot
 
  • Create "DEE" folder under C:\Inetpub\ftproot\Spirent\SR5500 and give all permissions to anonymous user on the security tab
  • Turn off all the firewalls on the controller PC if possible
