Spirent TestCenter : How to scale a configuration that uses the multiple DHCPv6 IANA/IAPD feature?

Answer

The basic idea is you will need:

  1. One device block per IANA or IAPD request per emulated home gateway.
  2. These would be linked using a “DHCPv6 IAID Host Link”
  3. Then the scale would simply be to increment the device count as needed.

Here’s an example of 10 home gateways where each will request 3 IANA and 3 IAPDs:
