Positioning Application, GSS9000: What channel bank of my GSS9000 will produce the signals in my scenario?

Environment/Versions
  • PosApp
  • GSS9000
Answer
  • In the 9000, frequencies are allocated to Channel Banks in a pre-defined order, as shown in the table below
    • The first signal in the list is assigned to bank 1, the second to bank 2 and so on
    • If a signal is not used in the scenario, its slot is used by the next signal which is selected in the order shown
    • If unlicenced or too many signals are selected, the scenario will fail to arm

  • In this example, a 4 Channel Bank system contains GPS L1 L2, GLONASS L1 L2 and GALILEO E1 E5, so the signals would be allocated to the following banks:
Frequency Channel Bank
GPS L1 1
GPS L2 2
GLONASS L1 3
GLONASS L2 4
GALILEO E1 Not selected
GALILEO E5 Not selected

  • If the chosen frequencies are changed, the allocation would still be called in order; for example:

GPS L1 1
GPS L2 2
GLONASS L1 Not selected
GLONASS L2 Not selected
GALILEO E1 3
GALILEO E5 4
