Positioning application : Whilst running scenario, I don't see the DOP's change in data display or sky plot windows when I apply power adjusment or antenna pattern

Answer
  1. DOP is a receiver function not a simulator function. the DOP stated in the data display and sky plot windows is calculated as a guide as follows(with reference to the image)
    • Value for, GPS Antenna 1 Vehicle 1 DOP(data window) and GPS best set = 9,24,30,31 PDOP = 1.9549(Sky Plot), is the value the receiver should have if the four SVID’s 9,24,30 and 31 are used by the receiver to calculate it’s DOP(depending on the receiver setup)
    • The value for GPS Antenna 1 Vehicle 1 DOP All-in-View(data window) and All = 1.2599(Sky Plot) is the value the receiver should have if all SVID’s are used by the receiver to calculate it’s DOP(depending on the receiver setup), most receivers tend to use 8 SVID’s to determine their DOP
  2. DOP is derived from the position of the satellites with respect to the receiver and not the power or lack of power(attenuation) of the signal.
