Answer
There is no clear limit defined other than the device scale limits we have for the various platforms.
ARP entries are learnt and active till the expiry timeout and is mainly dependent on the memory available in the system on how many entries you can learn.
If the issue is concerning RFC-2889 testing of a DUT, this does not require any MAC table on Spirent side.
Spirent simply sends data with different MAC addresses and the DUT will need to populate its MAC table.
There is no requirement for the sender to maintain any MAC table, the test is on the DUT not the sender of the traffic.
