Spirent TestCenter: How can I stop advertising BGP routes without sending withdraw messages on STC?

Environment/Versions
  • Spirent TestCenter
  • BGP
Answer
  • Open Spirent TestCenter Application and reserve at least one port.
  • Configure 2 different IPv4 devices on Spirent TestCenter Application.  Each device will advertise different routes to the DUT.
  • Start BGP on STC emulated devices and wait until the BGP sessions are Established.
 
  • Right-click on the device which will stop sending prefixes to the DUT, and go to BGP > Break TCP Session.
  • This way, the Spirent emulated device will stop advertising routes to the DUT without sending withdrawal messages.
