Spirent TestCenter: How can I configure Equal cost BGP routes on Spirent TestCenter?

  • Open Spirent TestCenter Application.
  • Connect to a chassis and reserve the ports you will use for the test.
  • Configure one device block of, at least, 2 devices.
  • Set the devices parameters such as IP address, Default Gateway, MAC address, and modifiers.
  • Enable BGP on those devices and set their configuration.
  • Disable the Use Gateway as DUT option.
  • If you have more than 1 DUT, you can set the DUT IPv4 Address Modifier as a list, and manually enter the DUTs IP addresses.

Once you have this configuration on the Spirent TestCenter Application, and the BGP sessions are established, hit the Edit Routes button at the top of the BGP tab window.  Add the number of routes that are going to be advertised by Spirent and set the Address Modifier Type per Device as repeat; this will cause that each device on the Device block to advertise the same routes to the DUT.
