Spirent TestCenter: How can I start start BGP devices without advertising the routes?

Environment/Versions
  • Spirent TestCenter.
  • BGP.
Answer
  • Open the configuration file and select All Devices on the left menu.
 
  • Open the Active Filter section by clicking on the   icon, and set the following:
  • At the Select Property… text box, type BGP, and select the Active option.
 
  • Set the drop-down boxes should be at Equal to and True
  • Hit the Refresh button.
 
  • This will only show the devices that will run BGP on Spirent TestCenter Application.
 
  • Click on the top left corner of the devices grid to select them all.
  • At the Select-All Options window, enable the On all pages option.
 
  • Open the BGP tab and right-click on any device.
  • In the menu, go to BGP > Establish BGP
  •  After establishing all the sessions:
    • Select all the devices at the BGP tab.
    • Right-click on any device.
    • In the menu, go ot BGP > Advertise BGP.
