Spirent TestCenter: What's the difference between aborted connections and aborted transactions in ALP?

Environment/Versions
  • Spirent TestCenter.
  • ALP.
Answer
  • An aborted connection happens when a connection attempt is canceled by the client before it has either been completed or failed.  The client will do this when it is stopped by the user or when the requested load goes down and some connections are outstanding.
  • An aborted transaction happens when a transaction is canceled by the client before it completes (e.g. if the client connection is closed with transactions outstanding).
