Spirent TestCenter: On 800G and 400G appliance, is PPM adjustment supported per port when channelized to different speeds?

  • B1-800G - 800G appliance
  • PX3-QSFPDD-8 - 400G appliance
Answer
  • B1-800G
    • PPM adjust is per port group. In this case, 2x400G belongs to the same port group. Therefore one setting applies to both ports.
  • PX3-QSFPDD-8
    • PPM adjust per QSFP-DD connector.  This means per 400G port.  And per port group at sub-rates (i.e. all 4 ports of 100G at once). 
  • Lets say you have a 400G port  that you set the speed to 100G which will give you four x 100G ports.
    • If you set the PPM on a single 100G port, the other three should change to the same value.
