Spirent TestCenter: Is it possible to include TCP headers in an RFC2544 test?
Environment/Versions
Spirent TestCenter.
TCP Header.
RFC2544.
Answer
Please follow the steps below to include
TCP
headers in an
RFC2544
test.
Go to
All Stream Blocks
on the left menu and hit the
Add
button.
Configure the
Tx
and
Rx
devices and set the traffic to be
Bidirectional
.
In the
Frame
screen, go to
Add Header(s)…
and select
TCP
. You can find it under
Category: IP
.
You can configure the
TCP header
values to match your test case.
If you start traffic, the packets will include the TCP information you configured before. Please refer to the snapshot below.
Follow the steps below to include these stream blocks in the
RFC2544
traffic.
When you get to the
Configure Traffic
window of the
RFC2544 wizard
, select the
Use existing stream blocks or create new stream blocks for the test
option and enable the
Active
option for both stream blocks.
You should change the minimum frame size in the
Throughput Parameters
screen. The Default value is 64 but due to the TCP header, it should be at least
82
.
