Applicable to customers with a VMS workstation which is the SimGEN host controller for an STR2760 or STR4760/4780 simulator.
This situation occurs when a user has logged out of the GPSSIM account without closing down the SimGEN software before exit. The Common Desktop Environment (CDE) attempts to restart the software, but is unable to do so.
The solution is:
1. Remove the workstation tasks one by one until no message windows are present
3. Login again
To prevent future occurrence ensure the SimGEN software is closed BEFORE exit; or set a Home session on the CDE with no SimGEN software running. Contact the Spirent Applications Support Team for further advice if necessary.
