5500A: Baud Rate: If unit is rev 3.00 or older use baud of 57600. If its 3.30 or later use baud of 9600. 8 data bits No parity 1 stop bit FLOW control: Hardware Note, because of differences of VT emulation software, if FLOW = Hardware does not work try None (Off) or Software.
If you see control/garbage characters, it is likely a FLOW setting issue. Reconnect with a different FLOW setting.
If you do not see any response, power down the probe. If it is a 750xx series, reseat all modules. Power unit back on and retry the communicaton.
