Cannot upload files to the GSS6400 using SATA

Answer

Unlike USB memory devices if you plug in a SATA device while the GSS6400 is switched on the unit will not automatically detect the external SATA.

  1. Switch off the GSS6400
  2. Insert the SATA cable.
  3. Switch on the SATA device, which must be externally powered
  4. Switch on the GSS6400.

The Linux Operating System in the GSS6400 then automatically mounts the external SATA drive, which will then appear in the /media folder.
