Answer

This is possibly because of an 5500 licensing issue. Verify which license options are enabled on both faders by going through front panel's LCD Display menu: 2. View ASA options

The Primary fader should as a minimum have the following license options enabled:

AWGN

System Option

The secondary fader should only be have the following license option enabled:
