When running Testdrive II, data throughput, I get an Apex Data Client error is received it’s usually due to data listener over port 9000. What does this mean?

Answer

This is due to the Apex data client not running properly either on the controller PC, the client laptop or on the Application FTP server.  To fix the issue, try performing the following:

1. Validate the data listener service is running on all three systems.

2. Go to the data listener client in the lower right hand corner of your

desktop and stop and start the service. Then attempt to run the test

and if this does not work go to step 3.

3. Exit out of the data client listener and then go to programs at start up

menu and execute the client ounce more. Then attempt to run the

test and if this does not work go to step 4.

4. Reboot all three systems and log back in. Then attempt to run the test

and if this does not work go to step 5.

5. Reinstall the client on all three systems (remote/apps

server/controller).
