TestCenter: how do I address error message: Event: Either too many receive streams or hashing overflow so some stream results are aggregated in the overflow bucket.

Answer

For Error message: Event: Either too many receive streams or hashing overflow so some stream results are aggregated in the overflow bucket.

I suspect the test is run through a DUT and these packets are not Spirent TestCenter generated packets but packets flooded from the DUT.

If you wish to verify, there are two methods:

->In the GUI settings, select -> L2L3 ResultsOptions -> Stream Results Settings -> Collect Stray Frames

Track Stray Frames:

The ‘Stray frames’ option is configured under the Settings->L2L3 result options tab.  When you define a Streamblock from Point A to Point B, there is an expected RX port which can be defined per Streamblock.  If the frame comes in on any other port than the designated RX port, it will be counted under the Stray Frames counter under detailed stream stats.

In the Test Results -> Streams -> Detailed Stream Results -> Basic Counters you will see Port Stray Frames.

->Run a Capture on one of the ports and verify what frames are actually being received.
