For a single port per VM configuration:

Port Speed Memory CPU cores
100M 512MB 1 core
1G 1024MB 2 cores
10G 1024MB 3 cores

For multiple ports per VM configuration:
 
Port Speed Memory CPU cores
100M Memory = Ports * 512MB  CPU cores = Ports * 1
1G Memory = Ports * 512MB CPU cores = Ports * 2
10G Memory = Ports * 512MB CPU cores = (Ports * 2) + 1

 


For example.
If a user needs4 x 10G ports ; HW requirements for"Multiple ports per VM configuration", says that:

  • 4x10G ports:
  • Memory = 4 * 512MB = 2048 MB
  • CPU cores = (4 * 2) + 1 = 9 Cores
So, the user will need, at least, 2048 MB of memory and 9 Cores.
