GSS6400: What intermediate frequencies (IF) are signal recordings stored at?
Environment/Versions
GSS6400
- GPS only model; minimum requirements = Firmware v3.00 and FPGA v54 and FIFO v58
- GPS/GLO model; minimum requirements = Firmware v3.00 and FPGA v54 and FIFO v56
- GPS/GLO/GAL model; minimum requirements = Firmware v3.32 and FPGA v65 and FIFO v66h
Answer
The IF frequency depends on the recorded file type, as follows:-
.dat files (GPS only) = 4.092MHz
.dgp files (GPS only) = 3.98MHz
.dgg files (GPS + GLONASS) = GPS at 3.98MHz and GLONASS at 6.64MHz
.dgl files (GLONASS only) = 6.64MHz
.dga files (Galileo only) = 6.06MHz
