STCLive T&D: Why do I have errors that the Java applet failed to load when attempting to bring up a service in STC Live T&D.

Answer

In Java Console you may see errors such as:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.spirent.metro.circuitViewer.viewer.CircuitViewerApplet

Check if you are using a proxy server.
To check if proxy server is being used:
1) Bring up Internet Options.
2) Select Connections.
3) Select LAN Settings.
4) If any of the settings are checked, you are using a proxy server.

If proxy server is being used it is likely the cause of the problem.   Disable the settings and retest.  You will need to contact your network administrator to correct issue with the proxy server if you are required to use a proxy server.
