Spirent TestCenter: Why is the QoS byte value different from DSCP value?

Answer

If set the DSCP value as decimal 10 then the QoS value will be hex 28
This is due to there 2 bits at the end of this byte which are currently unused.
In RFC 2474, The DS field structure is presented below:

        DSCP: differentiated services codepoint
        CU:   currently unused
