PosApp: What is Embedded Interference? And what is GTx with respect to the GSS7000?

Environment/Versions
  • GSS7000
  • PosApp v7.01 onwards
    • SimGEN
    • SimREPLAY+
    • SimTEST
Answer
Embedded Interference is the GSS7000’s new capability of in-band interference generation is introduced at PosApp version v7.01.

This capability enables realistic and precise reproduction of in-band interference signals in the test lab. It allows users to set transmitter locations, trajectories, and antenna patterns and enables the customer to define interference signal parameters such as centre frequency, signal modulation and power level.

Features include:
  • 8 transmitters and 16 interference channels in a single chassis
  • Maximum power level of -47 dBm
  • User-defined interference transmitter trajectory and antenna patterns
  • Access to Spirent’s expert Interference Scenario Pack
Embedded Interference is a licenced feature applicable to SimGEN, SimREPLAY+ and SimTEST

Embedded Interference is also referred to as "GTx" (Ground-based Transmitter)
