Spirent TestCenter: Spirent TestCenter Application is crashing while configuring IS-IS Hub & Spoke routers.
Symptoms
If you try to configure 100 routers as Hub & Spoke using Spirent TestCenter Application under the
LSP Generator
wizard, it will crash.
Environment
Spirent TestCenter 5.09 and older.
IS-IS Routing
100 Hub & Spoke routers
Explanation/Resolution
Steps to reproduce:
Open Spirent TestCenter Application.
Reserve 1 port on Spirent TestCenter Application.
Configure an emulated device and enable ISIS on it.
Open the
LSP Generator...
wizard on Spirent TestCenter Application.
Select Create Level 2 LSPs at the
Select IS-IS Level
screen.
Select the emulated router on which you will create the routes at the
Select Router
screen.
At the
Configure Topology
screen, choose
Hub & Spoke
and, at the number of routers should enter the number of routers you would like to add to the configuration, e.g. 100.
After this, if you hit the
Next
button, Spirent TestCenter Application will crash.
We found a bug on Spirent TestCenter that was causing the application to crash. This issue is
fixed in 5.10
release.

A bug in Spirent TestCenter was causing Spirent TestCenter Application to crash.
