Application Note: Simulation Of Realistic Antenna Noise
: This Application Note (DAN018) gives guidance on the simulation of more realistic antenna noise levels with Spirent GNSS simulators by manipulating signal levels based on knowledge of receiver and environmental noise temperatures
Positioning Application: How has the real transmit power of GPS Block IIR-M L1 C/A-code been redistributed?
: Between February 08 and 09, 2017 all seven operational GPS Block IIR-M satellites were subject to short maintenance periods, during which modifications to the satellites’ transmit power of different L1 signal components were made. This article provides more information on the changes, and how to implement them in the Spirent software.
Application Note: Interference Mitigation & Testing
: This Application Note (DAN030) gives guidance on the simulation of RF interference sources when testing a GNSS receiver system. Laboratory simulation in conducted mode or ‘over the air’ mode in a chamber environment is presented as effective, efficient alternatives to field testing.
