Description iTest 7.2 Release Highlights iTest is a key component of Spirent’s Test as a Service (TaaS) platform. The TaaS platform provides a high productivity solution for Agile development and continuous testing. It provides automation authoring, execution, results interpretation, and reporting all in an automated, on-demand fashion that integrates seamlessly with your DevOps tool chain. The primary focus of the iTest 7.2 release is to improve ease of use and productivity for both new and power users. In addition, iTest's Python support is extended with the ability to export to Robot, a popular, keyword-based testing framework.   Amplify Robot Test Authoring Productivity with iTest Many have adopted or are considering adopting the free and open source Robot Framework for test automation.  The new iTest enables users to produce significantly more test cases by augmenting Robot Framework with iTest’s patented response mapping technology and QuickCall keyword structures. Users are now able to rapidly create Robot keyword libraries with the click of a button from iTest. Enhanced User Experience iTest’s goal has always been to streamline your automation development experience. The iTest team added more than 14 valuable usability enhancements based on extensive usability research with users.  Both new and power users will experience significant productivity gains with less clicks and steps to perform common functions. The improvements include enhancements to Wizards, UI layouts, and additional built-in response queries. New Power User Perspective A new power user perspective (layout) called iTest Expert was developed by power users for power users.  It is a single pane expert view with optimized windows and views to maximize productivity. Greater Efficiency for All Users New commands and queries were added in iTest 7.2 to boost test case development flexibility for all users.  The new commands enable execution messages to be generated anywhere in the test case and the message coding is done in a simplified manner. iTest also generates more automated queries, eliminating the the requirement for users to build difficult to interpret Regular Expressions (RegEx).
