Spirent TestCenter: How to do stateful TCP testing using Spirent Application Layer Protocol.

Objective/Summary
  • This is a quick demo setup ALP back-to-back on how to setup stateful TCP testing using Spirent ALP. Make sure chassis is licensed with ALP.
Environment/Versions
v4.40
Procedure
  1. go to ALP Technology Sector, activate Raw TCP
  2. enable either Client or Server
  3. add desired load profile, f.e. 500 connections
  4. add bigger profile to create larger body type size if needed
  5. start devices
  6. run capture to see active TCP communication
  7. if you want to rerun test, need to stop and start again
